Back and Forth Letters

Hello Nathan Tagg the 2nd, my 21 year old (!?)

Thank you for your last note.  I am glad you are finding purpose in your new companionship.  I would really enjoy hearing about events from your week.  Your dream story was funny though.

We are doing well.  Spring is coming and that is exciting!  60 degrees today.  I just did some yoga this morning and it is so calming and refreshing with some hard parts.  Today's yoga message was about finding strength from your center.  Confidence comes from within.  We can't look to outside sources to bring us happiness and joy.  We need to decide how we will react to life's fast balls.

I am still curious to know if you got to the office to check on your packages. Please answer!  I will send you new shoes if you still need them.

I want to know what your feelings are about us coming to Brazil after your return.  It will all depend on your brother's  report date.  We won't know that until April, so it's not an urgent decision.  I would like to know your thoughts.  If you decided not to extend you could see your brother before he leaves (most likely).  No one is asking that of you.  I just thought I'd mention it.  Everything will work itself out for the best.

Love you the most

Mom

Dear Elder Tagg,
Hi.

How are you?  Well I hope.  Things here have been going well.  We are finally starting the spring melt.  I'm so ready for winter to be over.  Spring is my favorite time of year.  Every year I love it more and more.  I think its because it symbolizes new life, new beginnings, and freshness.  It gives me hope and just makes me feel great.  I'm also looking forward to general conference.  This year Grandma and Grandpa are coming to visit for spring break.  It will be great to go to Priesthood session with Grandpa and Drewie.

Yesterday, in priest's quorum we discussed Elder Uchdorf's talk called "Lord is it I?".  I love this talk and have listened to it more than 10 times.  I love the story about the guy who believed that lemon juice on his face would make him invisible to cameras.  I think that the crux of the message is that we all have spiritual blind spots and only by going to the Lord in humility can we identify and overcome these blind spots.  I'm sure you've read it but I recommend it to you for further study.

This life is a time for preparation.  A time for growth.  I continue to be amazed by the growth of my children both physically and spiritually.  I'm so grateful for this perspective.

I have been truly blessed and I think that I'm probably the luckiest and richest guy on earth.  I'm grateful for my family.  Your mother has been the greatest blessing in my life.  She is truly amazing and I love her the most!

It is great to hear your letters.  I can sense the enthusiasm you have for the work.  Continue to work hard and sprint to the end.  Don't get comfortable or complacent.  Stay young and green and excited!  I love you Nathan and I'm so glad that you chose to serve a mission.  You will be forever blessed for worthy missionary service.

Love,
Daddy-O

(Elder Tagg's reply)

Hey Daddy-O

This week has been great! I'm gonna baptize 10 People this month!!! Putting myself to the limits and challenging Satan's power is the motto for the rest of the mish! Não Há desejo mais justo! (is there a fairer desire!)  Pray for me! Breaking the limits!

This week this dude snorted coke when I was doing a contact with him. We're visiting him Tuesday.

I did four divisions and a ton of interviews this week!

The biggest challenge of this area is getting people to church because it is a poor area with like 20 active members and the chapel is like 10 kilometers away from my area.

I'm teaching a Mason. He's elect.

Love ya!
Elder Tagg!

Hi Elder Big Brother,

This week was a good week! We had 3 snow days which was awesome! We had a snow storm which gave us two days off and another one too.

So anyway this week I made the bold choice to rearrange my room. I couldn't move my bed which was tricky but overall I love my new room. How's your room?

Today I am doing personal progress and it is fun I did a experience about patriarchal blessing (oh by the way Drew is getting his and I think Evan is too!) I am not getting it yet but I learned so many things I didn't know before about  a Patriarchal blessing.

That's all for now!!

Luv ya and miss ya
